Kite Show Presentation

 Is it a lecture or a kite show? It's definitely closer to an educational kite show because it is packed with demonstrations and examples. I set up many kites - giving me a colorful background and giving the students a sample of the many different styles of kites that are flown worldwide. In one hour I cover many different subjects such as:
  • History and language
  • International heritage of kites
  • Physics of flight
  • Wind and Weather
  • Materials Science
  • Weight and Gravity
  • Symmetry
  • Aerodynamics of how a kite flies
  • Miniature kites and giant kites
  • Competitions, fights, and battles
  • Flight Safety
  • ...and much more including a chance for everyone to ask questions

One hour of setup time is required for best results.

High ceilings such as those found in a gymnasium, cafeteria, or auditorium are great when they are available.

Ages 8 to 108 are preferred.
